My daughter Nicolette attended Ms. Carolina Portuondo’s phonic’s program last year. I have only positive things to say about this experience. Ms. Portuondo’s teaching techniques gave my daughter the tools to succeed in reading comprehension and build her learning confidence and passion for books. As a parent this class was worth every penny, as it gave me tremendous joy to see my daughter feel so proud of herself at succeeding in school. Therefore, I highly recommend it for everyone who wants to see their children succeed academically and receive a solid foundation in reading skills and comprehension.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for 25 years, I know effective family leadership and transformation when I see it. Ms. Adriana Von Simson is a compassionate and strong leader of family systems—who will identify and help families remove the obstacles interfering with their child’s reaching their potential. I have never seen a negative trait that Ms. Von Simson can’t somehow help parent’s see from a more positive perspective so that their child can begin to redeem their self-esteem, while learning more
effective coping and interpersonal skills.

"Ani's parent coaching has helped me and my family enormously. Her continuous insight and support throughout the sessions and the tools she gave me are priceless. I finished the sessions last year and things have definitely changed for the good/better around my house. My four kids, my husband and I have all benefited from her coaching and our family dynamics reflect that. A great part of her coaching is that I can go back to use the tools and strategies she taught me whenever I need to, and I know that if I need her support again with my kids in the future she will be there. I strongly/highly recommend her coaching.

Liz Portuondo has been a loving, wise and powerful vehicle to allow my kids to express their concerns in a safe and educational environment. Through art with her guidance they found a fun medium to learn and become aware of their behaviours.

I highly recommend her for your kids. No matter how big or small the issues, addressed with time, they won’t escalate in the future.

My kids miss her when we haven’t seen her in a while. That’s a wonderful indicator of how they feel about their time with her.

I began with speech therapy when my son was 2 years old because he did not say many words. As a mother I started to feel that I need extra help.
We commenced therapy sessions to stimulate his speaking skills and allow him to express himself more and more everyday. We spent 4 years in the process and the entire time we felt that this is the best place for us. Annie Rabassa Thompson created a loving and caring environment for my son. We could not do it without her.

It has been a true privilege and pleasure to have been working with Adriana for upwards of 20 years.

As her supervisor early in her career and later at the University of Miami’s Center for Family Studies, I was always impressed with her clinical wisdom, depth and also personal qualities which together combine to make an excellent therapist. When I decided in to establish the Family Therapy Training Institute of Miami, I immediately knew that I had to bring Adriana in. She has been doing a fabulous job of training and supervising clinicians with us since 2004.
